    Pair of C. 1890 - 1902 Tailored Mounted / Cavalry Riding Breeches. Fine quality blue wool with scattered moth 'tracking' and a number of small moth holes but 95% intact and very sound. Reinforced seat and 1 1/4" yellow wool stripe on each outer leg seam. 2 1/2" belt loops, vertical pockets at each side with button closure, watch pocket, no hip pockets. Four hole bone suspended buttons. Composition fly and pocket buttons marked "Brooks Bros. / N. Y.". Polished white cotton waist and pocket lining. Legs taper dramatically at the bottom with closure affected by three gilt brass two hole buttons. Bottoms finished with black cotton edging. An exceptionally fine quality pair of US mounted trousers from the latter part of the 19th century.
