    Painted Haversack , 1849 Pocket Model Pistol, New Testament, and Housewife Identified to Pvt. Robert G. Molineux, Co. E, 45 Mass Inf.
    Consisting of the finest painted haversack we have ever seen which includes the owner's company and unit on the cover, an 1849 pocket model pistol with Pvt. Molineux name and company engraved on the backstrap, a nice copy of the New Testament with Pvt. Molineux name on the cover, and a housewife with Pvt. Molineux name stenciled on the inside. All items in excellent condition. Pvt. Robert G. Molineux was a resident of Roxbury, MA working as a 19 year old clerk when he enlisted on 9/26/1862 as a private into "E" Co. 45 Mass Infantry. With his prior experience as a clerk, he was detailed as Asst. Ward-master Stanley Hosp, Newbern, NC from 12/03/62 to 06/23/63. Pvt. Molineux mustered out 07/07/1863 at Readville, MA.
