An 1816 copy of Military Laws, and Rules and Regulations for the Army of the United States, inscribed by Callender Irvine, Commissary General during the War of 1812, to his brother. Inscription reads in full: "Lieut J.C.A. Irvine/ Regt. Light Artillery/ Presented to him by his Brother, General C. Irvine, this 18th of Feby 1814." Measures 4.5" x 7.25", 157 pages.
    Condition: Chipped edges, handling wear, toning and light foxing to the interior.
