    Italian Order of the Crown Breast Star and Commander. Includes: (1) Star of Grand Officer of the Order of Italian Crown. 88mm, Gravanzola, Succi, Raviolo & Gardino, Rome maker's plate on the reverse. Beautiful detail and work, excellent condition. (2) Italian Order of the Crown, Commander, third class. 52mm. Lacking neck ribbon. Unmarked. Small chip in the white, otherwise excellent. The Order of the Crown of Italy was founded as a national order in 1868 by King Vittorio Emmanuel II, to commemorate the unification of Italy in 1861. It was awarded in five degrees for civilian and military merit.
