    70th New York Volunteers ["Excelsior Regiment"]: P. S. Donahue Dog Tag.
    31 mm white metal. The obverse is inscribed at top "War of 1861" with a wreath below. The "blank" field is stamped: "Yorktown/ Williamsburg/ Fair Oaks/ 7 Days Before Richmond/ Bristoe Station/ Bull Run/ Chantilly/ Fredericksburg". The reverse is stamped: "P. S. Donahue/ 1st Exc/ 70 Rgt./ N.Y.V./ Williamsburg". Holed suspension flange at top. A dug specimen with some soil incrustation.
