Prussian Model 1895 Dragoon Pickelhaube. Standing 9 ½" tall, with silvered cruciform spike base, spike, and trim. 4 ¼" spike with decorative pearl ring around the base. Incorrect Prussian enlisted line eagle front plate held to the body via threaded posts and screws. Flat gilded-brass chinscales held to the helmet via mismatched silvered bosses. Cockades both complete, though the state cockade appears repainted. Leather body and fiber visors. Leather sweatband slightly torn at the back. The helmet is a mixture of new and old parts but is in very good condition and would make a good candidate for proper restoration.
