    Description

    New York State National Guard Model 1881 Dress Helmet. Cork body with dark-blue wool covering. Gilded-brass spike, New York front plate and infantry side buttons. Side vents. Leather sweat band. This example with the Ridabock & Company, New York paper maker's tag affixed in the inner crown and a New York inspector's stamp. Complete with the light-blue lanyard.

    Condition: Very good. A couple of very small areas of loss to the wool covering on the back of the helmet. From the collection of J. T. Hamrick, M. D.
