Confederate Surgeon Miles H. Nash Group of Three Documents: 1) State of Florida, Executive Department signed loyalty oath. One partly printed sheet, 8" x 9.75"; Tallahassee, December 29, 1862. The front of the document states that Doctor Miles H. Nash is known as "a true and loyal citizen of the Confederate States". Dr. Nash signs on the verso beneath a printed oath swearing loyalty to the Confederate States of America.
    2) Manuscript Orders issued by General Hood from Macon, Georgia on October 1, 1864 requesting the evacuation of "the hospitals under your charge with their corps of Medical Offices and attendants and hospital property..." The Barnesville hospital is ordered to move to Columbus.
    3) Manuscript Orders issued from Columbus, Georgia on October 10, 1864. General Hood sends orders relieving Surgeon Miles Nash from duty at Barnesville, and to report to the surgeon in charge at Opelika, Alabama.
    Condition: Overall very good with light wear and toning. The longer orders dated October 1, 1864 has scattered foxing and some ink showthrough from verso. Orders dated October 10, 1864 has tearing at bottom, with a bit of paper loss not affecting any text.
