    Edo Period Japanese 8 Plate Kabuto
    Japanese Edo Period Kabuto with 8 plate hachi, 5 brown lacquered neck lames interconnected with brown cloth cords, the bottom lame laced with white / black cord. Four stage top element with chrysanthemum motif. Iron front crest in the form of a dragonfly. Gilted crest on the wings. Underside of brim red lacquer, blue cloth interior with thin leather trim.

    Condition: Excellent. Iron body brown with minor surface rust, neck lames and wings show minor chipping. Cloth interior is old - maybe original and in excellent condition. Chin cords replaced.
