    Victorian Spiked Shield.
    The decorative shield, etched with an extensive foliate, mythical dragons and knight fighting scene is 21 1/2-inches in diameter. Fitted with a 3-inch spike in the center. Steel rivets and etched bands decorate two sections on the shield, at half way and towards the edges. Roped pattern borders the diameter of the shield. Thin metal backing with a decorative aftermarket handle protects the back. Rivets from the front pierce straight thru the backing.

    Condition: Good, showing areas of rust and surface rust in the front near the border and around rivets/studs. Spike is a bit loose. Shield has been cleaned overall with wire brush and lacquered. Backing with normal age wear, scuffs and scratches. Handle with moderate wear, added crew washers present.
