    Description

    Winchester Model 1890 Slide Action Rifle. Serial No. 6602 [spurious stamping], .22 Short caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with standard sights. Takedown knob on the left sidewall. Walnut stock and grooved slide handle. Crescent metal buttplate. True manufacture date unknown. With factory letter (indicating .22 Long). We believe that this rifle was modified to conform with the factory letter. Condition: Very good. Metal surfaces with a warm plum brown patina. Stock with light wear. Drilled and tapped. Lower tang ground and serial numbers re-stamped in a smaller font. Overall rifle a bit loose but mechanically crisp. Bright bore.
