    Winchester Model 1886 Take-Down Lever Action Rifle. Serial no. 113383, .45-70 caliber, 26-inch octagonal barrel with dovetailed brass blade front and ladder rear sights. Take-down configuration. Blued finish. Straight-grained walnut stock with crescent steel buttplate. Condition:Very good as possibly refinished. Barrel retaining approximately 15-20% blue, primarily in protected areas, the balance a thin, mottled gray-brown patina. Scattered small patches of fine pitting on magazine tube with area behind band showing signs of having been cleaned. Caliber markings possibly refreshed. Receiver retains approximately 10-15% finish with the balance gray with light staining. Stock good with light soiling and scattered marks. Sliver chip on either side of upper tang. Good bore with moderate wear. Manufactured 1897. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
