    Description

    Winchester Model 1885 Low Wall "Winder" Single Shot Target Musket. Serial no. 123147, .22 short caliber, 28-inch barrel with dovetailed front blade and Lyman peep rear sights. Blued and case-hardened finish. Upper tang marked, "U.S.[flaming bomb]." Walnut stock with barrel band and 2 sling swivels. Crescent steel buttplate. Manufactured after 1913.
    Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 40-50% original blue finish with the balance a thinning mottled brown-blue patina. Scattered nicks and fine spotting. Faded case colors. Tang screws with tool marks. Stock good with handling wear and dents. Bright strong bore with light wear.
