    Description

    Winchester Hotchkiss Bolt Action Rifle. Serial no. 2568, .45-70 caliber, 29-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear elevation military sight. Varnished walnut full-stock with two barrel bands, sling swivels and stacking swivel. Faint 1878 cartouche to left side of stock and stamped: 257025. Circle P firing proof at base of stock. Steel buttplate. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a grey age patina with noticeable wear and pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to stock. Action good. Bright bore.
