    Description

    U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Breechloading Rifle. Serial no. 503504, .45-70 caliber, 32 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front and rear ladder sight and V/P/[eaglehead] proof. Blued finish. Case-hardened trapdoor. Walnut stock with SWP/1891 and 65th REG.S.N.Y. cartouches. Standard US marked buttplate with tool reservoir and two tools. Swivel sling mounts and rod bayonet.
    Condition: Very good to excellent. Retaining approximately 90-95% finish with light handling wear and noticeable patches of pitting. Wood showing light scuffs and dents. Action is good. Bright rifled bore. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
