    U.S. Remington Full Stock Percussion Musket. .69 caliber, 42-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear adjustable elevation sight. Maynard primer. Lock marked: REMINGTON'S / ILION, N.Y. / 1858 / U.S. Upper tang dated 1858. Left side of barrel marked: US / J.T. / N.J. Walnut full-stock with three barrel bands, sling swivels and ramrod. US marked metal buttplate. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr. Condition: Good. Barrel appears to have been lacquered at one time. Noticeable wear and pitting present. Wood with heavy scuffs, dings and bruising. Action crisp. Strong bore.
