    U.S. Remington 1863 Percussion Rifle.
    Unserialized, .58 caliber, 32-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued finish. Lock marked: 1863 and (eagle) REMINGTON'S / U.S. ILION, N.Y. STEEL R.K.A. Top of barrel marked: V / P / (eagles head) and 1863. Stamped to left side of barrel. Smooth hardwood stock with brass furniture. Sling swivels. Hinged patchbox to right side of stock.

    Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina, with normal signs of wear and pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising to wood. XXX carved to base of stock. Action good. Lightly pitted bore.
