    Description

    U.S. Model 1855 Percussion Rifle-Musket Made by Harpers Ferry. No visible serial number, .54 caliber, 40" round barrel fixed front sight (rear sight lacking). Lock marked "U.S. / HARPERS FERRY" and dated "1861". Straight walnut stock with three barrel bands, two sling swivels, and ramrod. Finish worn to a mottled brown, with significant powder pitting on the breech. Barrel band springs replaced. Stock with the usual dents, dings, and scratches. Sold with a British military-marked Enfield socket bayonet and scabbard. Good condition.
