US M1816/22 Flintlock .69 Caliber Smoothbore Musket, N. Starr, 1833. Original flintlock configuration, in overall excellent condition. Metal generally clean and smooth with just a few small areas of salt and peppering and staining. Lock markings excellent, including the starburst, N. Starr etc. and 1833 date. The barrel tang is dated 1836, the breech with appropriate V / P / eagle proofmarks. The walnut stock is really excellent, just some minor scattered dents and crisp edges. Retains the original ramrod. Fine example of this M1816/22 contract and, obviously scarce and desirable in original flintlock configuration.
