    Description

    Starr Arms Company Cartridge Carbine.
    Serial No. 31656. .52 rimfire caliber. 21-inch round barrel with fixed blade front sight and flip-up notch rear sight. Blued barrel with casehardened lock and frame. Lock marked: "STARR ARMS CO. / YONKERS NY". Breech marked: "STARR'S PATENT / SEPT. 14TH 1858". Top of barrel marked "STARR ARMS CO YONKERS N.Y." Walnut stock with curved metal buttplate. No visible inspector's cartouches.

    Condition: Good. Barrel with a smooth mottled gray patina; receiver with only traces of case color and with light surface rust. Stock with a few small gouges, abrasions, shallow dents and surface scratches. Bright bore with strong rifling. Mechanically sound.
