    Spencer Saddle Ring Carbine. Serial no. 42172, .52 caliber, 22-inch round barrel with standard brass blade front and adjustable rear sights. Partial Spencer Boston address at top of receiver. Blued and case-hardened finish. Inspectors' marks on saddle ring swivel mount, left side of lever and interior of action. Stabler cut-off present. Varnished hardwood stock with cartouche on left side behind saddle ring hardware. Good to very good condition. Barrel with blue only in protected areas, the balance a smooth mottled gray-brown patina with scattered staining. Receiver and lever showing traces of case colors. Stock very good with scattered handling wear. Buttplate with muted case colors. Mirror bright three groove bore. From the Michael Yeck Collection.
