Description
Lot of Two Winchester Model 1890 Slide Action Rifles.Comprising: 1.) Serial no. 453476 [receiver and lower tang], .22 short caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and grooved fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1911. 2.) Serial no. 415655 [receiver] and 295115 [lower tang], .22 long caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued finish. Smooth walnut straight stock and grooved fore-end. Crescent metal buttplate. Manufactured in 1910.
Condition: Good. Each retaining traces of finish, the balances a mottled grey patina with noticeable wear and pitting. Heavy scuffs dings and bruising to wood. 2.) Upper tang screw absent and crack throughout base of fore-end. 1.) Action good. Strong bore. 2.) Action jammed.
NOTE: This lot falls under the GAC Act and has Federal Firearms Licensing Requirements.
