    Description

    Colt Lightning Small Frame Slide Action Rifle. Serial no. 35247, .22 caliber, 24-inch octagonal barrel with standard fixed sights, Hartford address and single line, four-date patent. Blued finish. Sliding recessed dust cover. Case-hardened hammer. Oil-stained walnut stock and fore-end slide. Factory hard rubber buttplate with Rampant Colt logo. Manufactured in 1898.
    Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 30-40% finish with scattered wear to relief edges and frame, mixed with grey age patina and fine patches of pitting. Wood showing scuffs, dings and bruising. Action good. Dark bore.
