    Description

    Colt Lightning Slide Action Saddle Ring Carbine.
    Serial no. 71214, .44 caliber, 20-inch barrel with fixed front sight and rear ladder sight. Saddle ring. Case-hardened hammer and trigger. Smooth walnut straight stock and checkered fore-end. Factory hard rubber buttplate with carved Rampant Colt logo. Manufactured in 1894.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of age, handling wear and patches of pitting. Heavy scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Cracks and wood loss to each side of wrist. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
