    U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Breechloading Rifle.
    Serial no. 301068, .45-70 caliber, 32-inch barrel with blade front and folding ladder rear sights. Blued finish. Low-arch breech marked: U.S. Springfield. Lock with eagle and marked: Springfield. Left side of stock with 1885 inspector's cartouche. on. Curved steel buttplate with US marking on upper tang.
    Condition: Very good as configured. Sold as a disassembled rifle which includes stock, barrel assembly, lock assembly, trigger assembly, 5 screws and two barrel bands. Barrel with a mottled plum finish mixed with gray patina. Stock good with numerous dents. Bright bore with light wear.
