    U.S. Sharps-Borchardt 1878 Falling Block Single Shot Rifle.
    Serial no. 19211, .45 caliber, 32-inch barrel with fixed front blade sight and rear elevation sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: SHARPS RIFLE CO. BRIDGEPORT, CONN. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Automatic safety.
    Provenance: The Don Otterson Collection.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a mottled grey patina, with noticeable signs of handling wear and pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and bruising throughout stock.
    Buttplate absent. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
