Description
Sharps Model 1863 Falling Block Saddle Ring Carbine.Serial no. C24890, .52 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Saddle ring. R.S. LAWRENCE and SHARP'S patent dates to right side of receiver. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Metal buttplate.
Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with noticeable signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Scattered scuffs, dings and scratches present to wood. Action good. Strong bore.
