    Ornately Engraved Martini Schutzen Rifle by Frohn. NVSN, 8.15mm x 46R caliber, 29 3/8-inch ribbed barrel. Ball front sight with protective ears. Aperture sight With 3-inch shield, adjustable for windage and elevation. Browned finish. Top of barrel fancy script-engraved legend reading: A. Frohn In Suhl. Top of breech with silver inlaid cherub.. Left side of receiver with fine relief-engraved woodland game scene with red deer stag and hinds. Right side nicely engraved with image of hunter and rifle with game in the distance. German proof marks at upper right corner. Screws in action are not engraved. Take down pin at back of receiver. Double set adjustable trigger. Case-hardened receiver and Schutzen buttplate. Highly figured walnut stock decorated with deep-relief floral carving and fine checkering. Left side with carved detailed bust of hunter with rifle slung across his back. Sling swivels. Proof: German Black Powder. 172/28. Weight: 11.6 lbs. Condition: Fine. Barrel shows 90-95% bluing with some losses to the ribs. Excellent mirror bright bore. Action shows a silver gray patina. Stock with numerous minor dents and light handling wear.
