Serial no. 49545 [barrel and receiver], .36 caliber, 25 1/2-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding leaf sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Scroll and floral engraved receiver and triggerguard. Dual triggers. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and splinter fore-end. Sling swivels. Metal buttplate. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 3356 / MEMORIAL.
Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.
Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 70-80% finish, showing signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Vibrant case colors remaining. Heavy scuffs and dings present to wood. Action needs adjustment, no firing mechanism. Bright bore.
