    Heavy Barrel Percussion Target Rifle by H.E. Leman, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. .36 caliber, 39 1/2-inch heavy octagonal barrel with dovetailed steel and ivory bead front sight and open rear sight. Top flat marked: DNL. FISHER. Steel under-rib. Scroll-engraved percussion lock mechanism marked: H.E. LEMAN/LANCASTER, PA. Barrel type bolster, engraved hammer Set-triggers. Tiger maple half stock with pewter fore-end cap and brass furniture. Half moon German silver spot inlays on sides of stock. Vacant oval German silver escutcheon on wrist. Hardwood ramrod, brass tip absent. Two steel thimbles. Condition: Fair to good. Barrel has been mechanically cleaned, now showing a mottled grey-brown age patina with scattered surface spotting and areas of heavy pitting near breech. Hammer on lock with incorrect screw and brass washer re-enforcement. Wood with sliver losses in front of lock with heavy wear and major crack repair on bottom of lock area. Minor chip to toe of butt.
