    Engraved W. Collath Sporting Rifle with Telescopic Sight.
    Serial no. 17482 [barrel and receiver], 7.65mm, 28-inch octagonal barrel with fixed front sight and rear folding leaf sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Elaborately scroll engraved receiver. Dual triggers. Horn triggerguard. Checkered walnut pistolgrip stock and smooth fore-end. Sling swivels. Scroll engraved cartridge compartment to base of stock. Hard rubber butt. D.R.G.M. telescopic sight. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 4767 / MEMORIAL.
    Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.

    Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 70-80% finish with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs and dings present to wood. Action good. Strong bore. Clear optics.
