    Serial no. 15685 [lower tang and peep sight] and 1859 [floorplate], .450 caliber, 33-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Top of barrel marked: JOHN RIGBY & CO. DUBLIN & LONDON. Large rear peep sight. Checkered walnut straight stock and forearm. Sling swivel and sling eye. Metal ramrod. Checkered wood butt. Original brass museum inventory tag attached: J.M. DAVIS / 2868 / MEMORIAL.
    Sold to Benefit The JM Davis Collection at the JM Davis Arms and Historical Museum.

    Condition: Fine. Retaining 70-80% of a thinning finish, with scattered signs of handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Vibrant case colors. Noticeable scuffs, dings and scratches present to stocks. Action crisp. Mirror bright bore.
