    Cased .250 Holland & Holland Hammer Single Shot Rook Rifle. Serial no. 18881. .250 caliber. 26-inch re-lined round barrel with octagonal breech. Spear front sight. Standing leaf with two folding leaves marked: 50 to 150. Case-hardened sidelever central hammer action. Ejector. Finely checkered semi-pistolgrip stock of straight-grain walnut with some fiddleback. Grooved butt. Finely checkered splinter fore-end. Brown canvas and leather trunk case with red baize interior and maker's label. Brass lock.
    Data: Black powder proof. Weight: 5 pounds 2 ounces. Condition: Excellent. Barrel show 96-98% bluing. Bright bore with a few small areas of pitting. Action shows 60-70% case colors with 40% being vivid. Top tang shows 95% bluing. Lower tang shows silver patina. Stock shows a few light marks. Fore-end shows a small loss and a repair on the edge and a few light marks and impressions. Case in fine condition with some fading to canvas and slight wear. Leather edges show scuffing. Excellent label.
