    Carved Custer Battle Field C. Sharps 1874 Breechloading Saddle Ring Carbine.

    Serial no. C43864, .45 caliber, 18 1/2-inch barrel with fixed front sight and adjustable rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Saddle ring. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Left side of stock carved: CUSTER BATTLE / FIELD / 76. Multiple notches carved into top of stock. Metal buttplate.

    Condition: Good. Finish primarily a smooth grey patina with scattered signs of handling wear and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs dings and bruising present to stock, large gouge to left side. Aftermarket fore-end. Action crisp. Strong bore.
