    C. Sharps 1863 Model Breechloading Single Shot Saddle Ring Carbine.
    Serial no. C1967, .52 caliber, 22-inch barrel with fixed front sight and R.S. Lawrence rear ladder sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Right side of receiver marked: R.S. LAWRENCE PAT. / APRIL 12TH 1859 and C. SHARPS PAT. / OCT. 5TH 1852. Saddle ring. Smooth hardwood stock and fore-end, with DFC cartouche to left side of stock. Crescent metal buttplate.

    Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 85-90% finish, with scattered light handling wear and fine patches of pitting. Scuff to right side of barrel, just past fore-end. Noticeable scuffs and dings to wood. Large gouge to left side of fore-end. Action good. Bright bore.
