    Argentine Remington Model 1879 Single Shot Rolling Block Military Musket. NVSN, 11mm, 36-inch barrel with bayonet lug, fixed front sight and adjustable rear elevation sight. Blued finish. Top of barrel marked: MODELO ARGENTINO. 1879 E.N. Varnished walnut stock and fore-end. Top of stock stamped with an R. Three barrel bands, each marked with a U. Sling swivels. Cleaning rod. Metal carbine buttplate. Property from the Estate of John R. Eckel, Sr.

    Condition: Excellent. Retaining approximately 90-94% finish with scattered handling wear and pitting. Wood showing scuffs, dings and bruising. Action crisp. Strong bore.
