    Inland Cutaway Presentation Carbine

    Rare Inland Cutaway M1 X-Prefix Presentation Carbine. Serial no. XA__, .30 carbine caliber, 18-inch 4-43 dated Inland barrel. The weapon is a standard Inland produced carbine with early features, portions of which have been cutaway revealing the inner components of the receiver, operating rod, trigger group and magazine. It is believed that the X-prefix guns were test guns, which were no longer required, were presented as awards to company executives and other notables. The X prefixes range from X 1 -99, XA1-99, XB1-99, XC1-99, XD1-99, and XE 1-99. Some examples in the XD and XE range featured fancy wood and a special finish.
    Condition: Very good. The Parkerized finish has some light surface rust and the stock has trivial wear.
