    Description

    Czechoslovakian Vz. 52 Semi-Automatic Rifle.
Serial no. G69595, 7.62mm, 20.5-inch barrel with standard military sights. All metal parts finished in matte-gray. Left side of receiver marked "she / 007 56". Receiver and stock numbers not matching. Harwood stock with integral folding bayonet and metal buttplate.

Condition: Good. Moderate dents, bruises and scratches to wood. Former owner's initials crudely scratched on right side of stock. Finish on metal worn thin in spots. Lacking hood on front sight. Lands and grooves strong but bore a bit gray. Allegedly many of these rifles were brought back from Grenada and this might be the case with this example as it bears no import marks.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
