Description

    Auto-Ordnance Corporation/Thompson Korean War Commemorative Model 1927 A1 Semi-Automatic Rifle. Serial no. KW875, .45 ACP caliber, 16 1/2-inch finned barrel with fixed front and adjustable rear sights. Blued finish with gilt trigger, compensator, cocking knob, rear sight base, and sling swivels. Figured walnut stock, pistol grip and fore-end. Right side of receiver machine engraved with the caption Korean War Commemorative Thompson, In Defense of the Principles of the Free World, and with a Korean War Service emblem. All numbers and lettering highlighted in gilt. Black leather sling with gilt fittings. Commemorative medallions inset on stock and pistol grip. Housed in the locking fitted wooden case with hinged picture frame lid as issued by the American Historical Foundation.
    Condition: Excellent. Appears little used with a few small areas of light scratching on the wood.
