    Description

    *Presentation Inscribed Winchester Model 1903 Semi-Automatic Rifle. Serial no. 17479, .22 caliber, 20-inch barrel with dovetailed front sight and standard elevation rear sight. Blued finish. Right side of frame engraved with a coat-of-arms with Latin motto below in riband reading: Tutamen Deus. Left side with inscription reading: W. Hope Hooper/August 5th, 1904. Checkered walnut stock and fore-end. Buttstock with oval German silver escutcheon with engraved horse head, an element also included in the coat-of-arms. Crescent butt. A unique and interesting rifle worthy of further research.
    Condition: Very good. Retaining approximately 75-80% finish with light wear to bottom of frame and relief edges. Wood very good with light wear present. Action crisp.
