    Scarce Remington Dog's Head Rifle Cane.

    Serial no. 622, .32 rimfire caliber, 34 3/4-inches in overall length. Gutta-percha handle and form. It has the long handle shaft and trigger button with concentric rings. Nickel-silver joint between dog's head and shaft. According to Flayderman's, approximately 2,000 of each caliber (22RF and 32RF) were manufactured. See 5E-074. Flayderman also notes that Remington advertised as "Just the thing for taxidermists [and] against dogs and highway men".

    Condition: Very good. Scattered scratches and light discoloration areas to shaft. The Dog's head is done in great detail. Action good. Moderately pitted bore.
