    Description

    Remington Model 1897 (No. 5) Military Rifle. NVSN, 7mm, 30-inch barrels with front blade sight and adjustable rear sight. Blued finish with case-hardened frame. Walnut stocks. Full musket type fore-end with two barrel bands with stud for bayonet at tip. Sling swivels. According to Flayderman's, the majority of these models we made for export (South and Central America). Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 70-75% blued finish on barrel and hammer, the remainder with fine scratches and pitting. Approximately 70-80% case-hardening remains on frame, none present on buttplate. Stocks are good with dings and scratches throughout. Action crisp. Bore is very good.
