    U.S. Springfield Model 1884 Trapdoor Martial Breechloading Rifle. Serial no. 441734, .45-70 caliber, 32-inch barrel with pedestal front sight and Buffington rear elevation sight. Standard proof marks at breech. Blued finish. Case-hardened breechblock, hammer and lockplate. Walnut stock. Sling mounts.
    Condition: Fine to excellent as refinished. Retaining approximately 85-90% professional reblued finish with scattered light wear to relief edges. Minor pitting visible on lower tang beneath finish. Vibrant case-hardening. Wood lightly sanded. Action tight and crisp.
