    U.S. Civil War 5th Model Burnside Percussion Saddle Ring Carbine.
    Serial no. 33267. .54 caliber. 21-inch round barrel with fixed front sight and flip-up notch rear sight. Lock marked: "BURNSIDE RIFLE CO. / PROVIDENCE=R.I.". Top of frame marked: "BURNSIDE'S PATENT / MARCH 25TH 1856". Walnut stock and fore arm. Single barrel band. Metal buttplate. Bar and saddle ring mounted to left side of stock.

    Condition: Fair. Metal light to medium gray with areas of minor pitting, heavily pitted butt plate, blued band. Strong action with working mechanism, good bore. Butt stock with scattered dents, visible inspector's cartouches, forearm with dark finish exhibits dents and scratches and chips at the receiver.
