    J. Stevens Double Barrel Hammer Gun. Serial no. 35829, 16ga, 28-inch barrels with bead sight and matted rib. Blued finish. Left side of receiver stamped: J. STEVENS A. & T. CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A./ PAT.S APPL'D FOR. Walnut stock with checkered pistolgrip and forearm. Black, hard rubber buttpad marked: STEVENS.

    Condition: Good. Steel now with a mostly smooth, mottled blue-brown patina with scattered patches of fine pitting. Stock with age wear and patina. Tape repair at wrist. Action functions. Bores bright showing moderate wear.
