DescriptionHenry Rifle Buttstock.
Upper tang marked 8240. One piece walnut buttstock, with opening for sling swivel to the left. Henry rifles were originally fitted with oil stain walnut stocks. According to Flayderman's, Henry Rifles were made from 1860 to 1866 with total quantities approximately 14,000 (overlap with model 1866).
Condition: Very good, possibly cleaned and sanded. With age wear and minor dings, scuffs to edges and bruising.
