Engraved German Jaeger Percussion Rifle. NVSN, Approximately .62 caliber, 27 3/4-inch octagonal barrel marked in german silver: GOTTF: DIETZ IN SUHL. Plum brown finish on barrel with case-hardened engraved sideplate, hammer and upper tang. Upper tang with German silver inlay. Brass furniture with beautiful scroll-work and patterns throughout. German silver front sight. Rear slot for sight on barrel. Set trigger, external lock safety. Checkered fancy walnut Fullstock with cheekpiece. Ramrod present with 3-inch brass cap. Bayonet attachment present to right side of barrel. Sling swivels present. Condition: Good. Retaining approximately 60% thinning plum brown finish. Traces of case-hardening present. Silver is tarnished. Stock in ok condition with scratches and dents throughout. Appears to have light mold build-up on wood, some varnish remains. Stress fracture on left side of stock near upper tang. Action good. Bore dark.
