Description
Colt Model 1855 Revolving Rifle with Bayonet.Serial no. 3541 [lower tang], .56 caliber, 31 1/4-inch barrel with fixed front sight and folding rear sight. Blued and case-hardened finish. Five-shot cylinder. Smooth walnut straight stock and fore-end. Sling swivels. Crescent metal buttplate with cleaning rod reservoir. Metal ramrod. 15-inch socket bayonet.
Condition: Very good. Finish primarily a dark grey patina with signs of handling wear, age and patches of pitting. Noticeable scuffs, dings and bruising present to wood. Action crisp. Moderately pitted bore.
