    Cased Thomas Bland & Sons Express Double Rifle.
    Serial no. 10809, .500 BP Express caliber, 28-inch barrels with matted rib. Blade front and fixed, notched rear sights. Top of barrels marked: T. BLAND & SONS/ 450 W. STRAND. LONDON. Blued and case-hardened finish. Extractors. Figured hardwood stock with checkered forearm and pistolgrip. Curved steel buttplate.
    Contained in fine, hand-tooled brown leather leg-of-mutton case with hunting scene. Sold together with a factory letter from 2011 detailing an 1890 manufacturing date for a Mr. Fitz for an African Expedition and now owned by a Mr. Patrick Tinsley of Canyon, Texas. Length of pull is 14 3/16-inches which matches the information in the letter.

    Condition: Excellent as refinished. Retaining approximately 94-98% of an old fine refinish. Light handling wear observed. Slightly muted case colors. Stock excellent as redone. Mirror bright bores.
