    U.S. Springfield Model 1863 Percussion Rifle Musket.
    NVSN. .58 caliber. 40-inch round barrel with fixed front sight and v-notch rear sights. Metal parts finished bright. Lock with eagle motif to the right of the hammer and: "U.S. / SPRINGFIELD" and dated 1863 behind the hammer. Barrel dated 1863. Straight walnut stock with metal buttplate, three barrel bands, and ramrod. Inspector's cartouche on the left side of the stock.

    Condition: Very good to excellent. Showing only light use and respectful handling wear. The eagle on the lock shows a rather light strike in the breast area. Excellent bore and in excellent mechanical condition.
